A Really Random List of Thoughts
It´s been really nice here the past two days. A solid 48 hours without any rain - amazing.
I got ripped off by the corner liquor store when I bought that box of wine for the dinner we fixed for my host family. I didn´t realize this until today. Lame sauce.
I saw a dead stray dog, really it was pretty much a puppy. It was super sad and pretty gross cause I´m pretty sure it had been hit by a car. I´m actually a little suprised it has taken me this long to see one here. I hope to never see another one again.
I had no idea what kind of meat my host mom cooked for us this afternoon for lunch. It was chewy.
I have a cold. Bummer.
I wish more people from home were online when I am.
I´m really enjoying speaking another language. Which is weird because I didn´t like doing it in highschool. I think I just see the relevance now - you get to communicate with people who you otherwise couldn´t. I realize that last sentence seems really obvious but I think I didn´t really comprehend it before. I´ve even decided to pay to take 4 extra hours of classes next week, for a total of 44 hours of spanish lessons - that more then an entire term of spanish at Union.
Carly left today (along with three other really cool people including caitlyn) - bummer. New volunteer comes to live with me (and my host family) tomorrow afternoon. All I know is that its a girl. Carly will actually also be back tomorrow with her mom for lunch. I bet Gladys prepares a feast.
I´m starting a ¨Emily will need new pants when she returns because all her pants are incredibly dirty and trashed¨fund. Feel free to donate.
When doing that last bullet I realized that the delay with the quotation mark button is actually intentional because if you push the quotation button and then a letter it accents the letter. por ejemplo: é or ó. Bueno.
A group of us are going to picnic by a waterfall for dinner. Pretty sweet.
You are all probably really bored with these random train of thoughts. Oops.
